BREAKING - $25 Million Government Study Links Cell Phone Radiation to Cancer

As reported by The New York Times, CNN, NBC, Fox, TIME, Wall Street Journal and Science Magazine many more, a $25 million government-backed study has found a significant link between cell phone radiation exposure and cancer. Here is what you need to know.

Summary of Findings

The two year study, conducted by the National Toxicology Program (NTP) exposed lab rats to cell phone radiation at controlled intervals meant to emulate typical human exposure. The results showed that 1 in 12 of the male rats developed cancer or a pre-cancerous lesion. In the group exposed to the lowest amount of radiation, which happens to be the FCC's legal limit that is rarely obeyed, 1 in 15. This is especially alarming considering that none of the control group of 90 rats that was not exposed to cell phone radiation developed cancer. Also bear in mind that most cell phones exceed these legal limits for direct bodily contact, hence the manufacturer warnings to keep a certain distance between your phone and your body.

Why It's Important

According to UC Berkeley's Dr. Joel Moskowitz, "the results of the study reinforce the need for more stringent regulation of radiofrequency radiation and better disclosure of the health risks associated with wireless technologies -- two demands made by the International EMF Scientist Appeal -- a petition signed by 220 scientists who have published research on the effects of electromagnetic radiation.

Along with other recently published studies on the biologic and health effects of cell phone radiation, the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization should now have sufficient data to reclassify radiofrequency radiation from 'possibly carcingogenic' to 'probably carcinogenic in humans.'"

Another element of the findings that led researchers to ultimately conclude that there is a significant link between cell phone radiation exposure and cancer is that there was a positive relationship between exposure levels and cancer rates. In other words, the more radiation the rats were exposed to, the more got cancer. This essentially eliminates other variables and points to the electromagnetic frequencies from a cell phone as the culprit, confirming numerous earlier studies and theories on the potential long term health effects.

How to Protect Yourself and Your Family

The most effective way to reduce your exposure to cell phone radiation would be to stop using your cell phone. Don't carry it close to your body, don't talk on it as intended, and definitely don't sleep with it right next to you. Clearly, in today's world, that is unrealistic.

That is what led us to devise a solution that protects you from radiation while adding convenience to your phone, rather than taking it away. Our cell phone cases include radiation shielding technology that has been lab tested to block up to 99% of ELF and RF radiation. For added functionality, we built-in industry leading drop protection, an RFID blocking wallet and an adjustable angle stand. Click below to start protecting yourself today!
