Berkeley Judge Upholds Cell Phone Radiation Warning

As we previously reported, the city of Berkeley, CA took a major step towards notifying the public of the potential risks of cell phone radiation. Their "Right to Know Ordinance" that officially took effect in August of this year requires retailers to place a warning at the point of sale.

Since then, the corporate powers of the CTIA have relentlessly challenged the ruling. Today, U.S. District Court Judge Edward Chen has ruled largely in favor of the ordinance.

While we've seen many similar rulings internationally, this is great news as it is the first major instance of the US government recognizing the potential risk of cell phone radiation. This is promising sign that more action and support is soon to follow.
